Welcome to the Centre for Global Education York

The Centre for Global Education (CGE) was established in 1982 and moved to York St John University in 1993. It is an independent, non-profit, curriculum development centre. The CGE works locally, nationally and internationally with teachers, teacher educators and student teachers to introduce global issues into their teaching.  The CGE encourages active participation by children in learning around the broad aim of “education for a just future”. The Centre coordinates North/South school linking across the region of Yorkshire and Humberside.
